Wow – who would have thought Anaglypta wallpaper would make a comeback. It’s not something that ever made an appearance in my family home as my mother was very sniffy about it but I have strong memories of it in childhood friend’s homes.
Suffice to say Anaglypta is not something I had ever considered either but after seeing a post on swoonworthy I am converted. The images are fabulous and it just goes to show how some beautiful styling can make an outdated product become desirable again.

I particularly like it painted in strong moody colours as the texture becomes far more striking and adds some glamour to a room.

It’s perfect as a dado for stairs and landings that take a lot of knocks from young children, where a quick recoat of paint instantly freshens up the walls and ideal for walls that have uneven plaster.

It makes a striking feature wall painted in a strong hue and a fab way to add that essential texture to a room. What’s not to like? What do you think – will you be putting up Anaglypta any time soon?
