This traditional method of production, passed down through generations, means no two pineapple vases are exactly the same; each with their own unique characteristics and charm.
Did you know that pineapples are traditionally a symbol of luxury and hospitality? Christopher Columbus is said to have first discovered them on a Caribbean island in 1943 and brought them back to Europe, but they were so rare and in such high demand, that they became a symbol of hospitality. That you were able to provide your guests with a pineapple showed you had spared no expense for them. In today’s modern world of course, we are able to enjoy the beauty of this fruit year-round, and revere it’s fabulous shape, in the form of this stunning vase.
